Sidetracked Series: The Long Ride Home (Acts 1, 2 & 3)

For the adventure magazine Sidetracked, we wrote a three-part series on our journey home from Kyrgyzstan with our horses Tian, Chai, Fidel & Brando. Each portrait of our journey recounts a defining moment in this life changing journey: the moment we were reunited with our horses, the moment heartbreak struck our family, the moment we found peace and harmony with wildlife in the Carpathian mountains, the challenges of the urbanized Alps…and finally the moment our “multi-culti” family arrived home.
